About Us
St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church celebrates the liturgy exclusively in the traditional Latin Roman Rite. Priests of the Society of St Pius X service this chapel.
The Society of St Pius X was founded in 1970 by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre. It is an international priestly society of almost 700 priests; their main purpose is the formation and support of priests. Society priests live in community and serve faithful in over 70 countries around the world.
The Society does not have a particular spirituality, apart from the devotion towards the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the unbloody renewal of the Cross of Our Savior. All these treasures, transmitted by the Church’s Traditions, the Society does not want them only for itself. Its ambition is to share these treasures with all priests, who will always be welcomed and helped, and also to see the Church’s authorities distribute them throughout the world so as to “restore all things in Christ” (Eph. 1:10).
Who We Are
We purchased our beautiful Gothic Revival church in 2021. It was built in 1917 and first used by the Episcopalian community. The edifice was designed by Brigham, Coveney and Bisbee who described the building as "perpendicular Gothic in style, of the type of smaller English parish churches of the fourteen and fifteenth centuries”.
